What Makes QRL Quantum Resistant? This question comes up often whether we hear it online or in-person at various blockchain events. To ensure quantum computer resistance, we base our standards off of NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology- https://www.nist.gov/). NIST develops the cryptographic standards for government, corporate, and retail. In short, they set the standards for what is considered secure in the face of quantum computing and set the official guidelines. We follow those guidelines. For QRL Project Zond (codename of the hard-fork), we're using ML-DSA (CRYSTALS-Dilithium). This is under FIPS 204. NIST has done all of the heavy lifting by working with the top cryptographic experts, universities, and corporations from around the world...which together with them, they've narrowed down all of these cryptographic standards into different protocols. We're basing our standards on the heavy lifting that NIST has already done. We (QRL) have done the heavy lifting for you by implementing those standards into a post-quantum secure blockchain which is provably post-quantum secure since the first block. That is what makes QRL post-quantum resistant!
