Hoya Polyneura Fishtail | A Transition Into Leca | Hoyas Love Leca | Includes Propagation and Update Hello and Welcome Back to The Plant Amateur! This Hoya found her way into my collection by way of a friend who couldn't care for their plants. It is the same friend that you may have heard/read about in past videos, but instead of the same old song, we have an update!! I didn't talk about in the video! My friend came and picked up almost all of their plants!! By almost I mean that some were sold off because I didn't want to look at them (I had their blessing) and some I was too in love with to part with...like this plant. I find Hoyas to be one of the easier genus to begin with. My gf when I first began gifted me two calatheas. Don't be like the Monster Maker, gift hoyas to beginners. All my plants live under a 14 hour light cycle. Some of the Hoyas on the Hoya shelf are looking too sun stressed so I would suggest experimenting with this yourself to see what you like. Distance also plays a role. General home humidity should be just fine. They are not drama queens. General home temps are also appreciated by this easy street plant. Some people keep Hoyas in a cabinet which can be very good for them. They do originate in some pretty humid environments so keep that in mind when you're deciding what to give your babies. I do not keep mine in any cabinet and they seem to do just fine. While ease dropping at my favorite plant store one day, the owner was telling another customer how to take care of Hoyas. Blast them and dry them out. I have found this to be pretty accurate across the different species in my collection. Lots of light and completely dry between waterings.
