The Knights of Knightsbridge - Fashion Film by Nick Knight

Nick Knight presents a fashion film for 'The Knights of Knightsbridge' project. Knight showcases an array of fashion designer's work in motion, from the likes of avant-garde heavyweights Yohji Yamamoto, Maison Margiela, Rick Owens, Craig Green, Gareth Pugh and Iris van Herpen, as well as a very special archive Dior Couture ensemble from John Galliano's tenure at the house. The fashion film accompanies a panoramic display of 18 fashion images by Knight which adorned the face of the Knightsbridge estate. The project was conceptualised by Knight, who drew influence from the history of Knightsbridge – an area which takes its name from a legendary duel between two knights on a bridge, both of whom fell to their death. Riffing on this, Knight captures high fashion as armour, the models he films – Jazzelle Zanaughtti, Wenjing Chang, Tamy Glauser, Dennis Okwera and Xu Meen – acting as modern day knights ready for battle.
