Glencoe Mountain Rescue FULL Video

Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team is a voluntary search and rescue emergency service comprised of approximately 34 team members. It has been operating since 1961 and is one of the busiest and the longest established mountain rescue teams in Scotland. The team operates from the Rescue Centre in Glencoe village and can be called out in all weather 24hrs a day. They cover a wide geographical area from Rannoch Moor, to the Etive hills, to the Mamores and over into Morven and Ardnamurchan. This video explains the procedures that follow a call to the Mountain rescue through Police Scotland. Glencoe Mountain Rescue recently took part in our Winter Talks Series and we made this video to highlight how valuable all the rescue teams are to us.
