Eckerd College student Noah Schlager '14 captured this video during his winter term course called "Spanish Language and Culture in Madrid." Noah writes: "The Manzanares river is Madrid main river, though it historically has been mocked for its small size. It was heavily impacted by the rapid development around it, but has been restored by the Madrid Rio Project as an urban green space. I was captivated the contrast of the ridged buildings with the fluid river. I wanted to capture the way the ridged and the fluid both conflict and support one another, and looking at humans as inhabiting a space in-between these two manifestations of nature."
