I thought I was just finishing a blanket. Turns out, I was finishing an old way of creating. I can't believe it's the third blanket I’ve finished so far—and each one has taught me something about autism, ADHD, creativity, and how I move through projects when perfection used to run the show. If you’re a neurodivergent crafter, perfectionist in recovery, or someone learning that simplicity can be powerful—then you'll definitely want to hang out for this. No talk of confusing patterns. No tutorial crisis to speak of. Just a finished blanket and the lesson it left behind. Lizzie, Dee Dee, and I are ready for an exciting year that (obviously) will be filled with a whole crap ton of learning opportunities we didn't ask for. Yay. Yeah, that was sarcasm. LOL! ____________ WHO ARE (WE)? I’m 65 and Autistic with ADHD. We love yarn. Yes — we. I used to believe I was the one-and-only protagonist in my tragic docuseries of life. Turns out… that was a lie. I’m Granny — the sarcastic, petty one. You’ll also meet Autizzy Lizzie, the stoic, logical one, and ADHD Dee Dee, the impulsive, chatty dreamer. My “charming” personalities are as quirky and unpredictable as variegated and bitty striped yarn. Life is aggressively crowded in my head — And I wouldn’t have it any other way. (We) hope you'll stick around for our accidental discoveries, brain glitches, awkward moments, and bad attitudes. There will also be plenty of mockery, snarky commentary, inappropriate humor, and internal conflict. At the same time, I drop tea on what it’s like to be a late-diagnosed AuDHD'er in my golden years. And the eyepatch? It's legit. I'm blind in one eye and can barely see out the other. Bring your project and sit with me. I'm glad you're here. #audhd #autistic #adhd #neurodivergent #yarn
