He sustained a non-concussive closed head injury in 2021 striking the vertex of his head in a swimming pool. At some time after that accident he developed a peculiar sensation in both ears and constant drainage of fluid into the back of his throat. This persists more or less to the present day. He was evaluated at UPenn ENT who could not identify a site of drainage in his oropharynx/nasopharynx. Over the years he has acquired many symptoms which includes a feeling of fullness in his neck and upper chest if laying flat. There has not been any nasal or otic drainage. He estimates that he collects in excess of 50 cc turbid fluid/day through special collection method that he has rigged up from his posterior oropharynx. He has never had any positional headaches or episodes of meningitis. Saw a neurosurgeon in Princeton who thinks that he has a collapsed scalp possible is leaking lymphatic fluid and needs scalp reconstruction. Went to plastic surgeons who reviewed his case and could not offer any intervention. Underwent cisternogram on 7/18 at OSH negative for CSF leak.
