Kallang Riverside Park is a riverine park in Kallang, Singapore. It sits on the confluence of the Kallang River and Rochor River, north of the Kallang Basin. Built on both sides of the Kallang River, Kallang Riverside Park is a haven for water sports enthusiasts and adrenaline junkies alike. With its fitness equipment, jogging cum cycling tracks and water sports facilities, the park provides endless hours of fun both on land and in water. Designated fishing zones allow anglers to cast their rods to hook their next big catch. With various species of birds in the area, especially in the migratory season from September to March, nature lovers should keep their eye out for little egrets and grey herons. For those who just need to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, simply kick back under a coconut palm, have a picnic and enjoy the stillness of the reservoir. This park will connect you to Marina Promenade after you cross the underpass of the Merdeka Bridge. Getting there: A 10 minute walk from Kallang MRT station (exit to the main road and cross the traffic light on your left, cross Sims Ave, walk along Lor 1 Geylang with the terminal on your right, cross Geylang Road, turn right until you reach the park) and 8 minute walk from Lavender MRT station. You can also alight near the park at bus stop 80039 (Opp Lor 1 Geylang Terminal) with buses 2, 7, 7A, 12, 13, 32, 33, 51, 63, 67, 80, 100 & 197.
