Flight parameters that can be modified in Smart mode include altitude, width of circle, and direction of circle (right or left). Self Leveling Mode: The aircraft is controlled by the sticks, but gyros and accelerometers will automatically level the aircraft if the sticks are centered. Excellent training mode for beginners, making it difficult to crash. Stabilized Mode: The aircraft uses gyros to dampen uncommanded movements such as from wind gusts. But there is no self-leveling ability. Quite a bit more difficult than self-leveling mode. Normal Mode: Full manual control. No gyro or accelerometer inputs. This model is relatively twitchy in this mode, so for experts only. Auto takeoff and landing ability Flies reasonably well in the wind when in self-leveling mode. Comes with nice protective carrying case. Also easy to setup in the field. Comes with a spare battery. Available in three colors (white, gray, or desert), and two versions (brushless or brushed motor). Strongly recommend that you consider the brushless version if you plan to do back to back flying with spare batteries. If flying brushed version, allow at least ten minute cooldown period between flights. Also includes a barometer for altitude hold when in self-leveling. I did not realize that before I flew it, and it kind of explains the one impact that I had with the ground. I was puzzled why it wasn't climbing when I increased power. When in self-leveling mode, to increase altitude, pilot must both increase power and also pull back on the elevator stick. Flight controller includes voice prompts for various settings, and also to warn of low battery. Flight controller is configurable. Does not require FAA registration. Con's Flight time is short, at a little over three minutes per battery.
