Hello, I am Evie Lawson, a female aviation enthusiast. On 5th December 2020 I was lucky enough to be invited to Dunsfold to see Landor - a British Airways 747- 436 'Jumbo Jet' plane land at her final home where she is being preserved. I wanted to capture the Captains, the walk around and the sheer size of Landor in this video so please make a cup of tea, put the sound on, and spend 6 minutes watching. Last year, to mark their 100 year birthday, British Airways painted 4 planes in retro liveries. BOAC, Negus and Landor are all Jumbos 747 'Queen of the Skies' and the BEA Retro jet is an A319. Because of the pandemic, many planes around the world are being retired early and scrapped or sold to other airlines, some for cargo. This particular plane G-BNLY, with the Landor livery, brought me home in 2018 from Dallas, and I haven't been on a plane since. So it felt particularly poignant for me to be here for her last journey home. I had a very cold and wonderful day! This is my favourite video I have made to date and I hope it stands the test of time when 747, 4 engined planes are remembered as museum pieces. Here is the longer version with more details about the day: • LANDOR FINAL FLIGHT & WALK AROUND | G...
