Uncertain Times

We live in uncertain times now, both personally and globally. In this track I improvise on some sequences I came up with some evening before. You hear sequences from the NDLR and the Cirklon. The Cirklon is clocking the NDLR via MIDI. The Cirklon is in it's turn clocked by MIDI from Studio One. So if I press record in Studio One, the Cirklon and the NDLR start playing. The Mopho and Korg ARP Odyssey are the NDLR's motif's and the Roland JD-800 is the NDLR's pad. The Cirklon drives the Oberheim SEM, the Rob Hordijk OSC HRM, the Mutable Instruments Rings, the Mutable Instruments Braids and the Synthesizers.com Modular for the bass. The OSC HRM is also used as input form the Rings for most of the time. The solo voice comes from the Moog Minimoog. I had some trouble generating the video because the FPS of my iPhone 11 does seem to be exactly 60. Could not sync the music to the video properly in iMovie. Vegas Movie Studio on my Windows laptop would not load MOV files. Downloaded a trail for Filmora which could do it but I didn't want to buy the license for the occasional video I make. Installed Ubuntu Studio on an old laptop and used Kdenlive which did the job. The track was recorded live to multi-track in Studio One and mixed afterwards. In the last 2:30 minutes, the octave bass and the strings were added afterwards for a somewhat more dramatic effect in the climax. Hope you will enjoy it. The track is uploaded to Bandcamp.
