As an Indian, you must want India to take back its entire Kashmir. But before making this demand, you must know the history behind it. The history associated with LOC, the history associated with POK, the history associated with the Shimla Agreement, and the saga of the valor, heroism, and self-sacrifice of the brave Indian soldiers along with the dirty, shameless, demonic mentality of the Pakistanis. To understand this issue, you should first understand these two maps. Since childhood, we have seen the map of India like this. But Pakistan and China have drawn the map of India in a slightly different way, and if we keep in mind the areas currently under India or India, the map of India actually looks like this. That is, in this map, we see several parts of Kashmir as belonging to Pakistan and China. Which is what India wanted. On August 14 and August 15, 1947, Pakistan and India became two separate states, respectively. India was then under the British, whose name was British India. Under this British India, there were several native kings who enjoyed their rule in exchange for a certain amount of tax paid to the British. This number is not small; it is about 530. When British India was divided and became India and Pakistan, three roads were open to these native states. Either they will join India, or they will join Pakistan, or they will remain independent. Even though there was a proposal to remain independent, it was relatively difficult to take that step. So the small kings and their states joined either India or Pakistan. The only exceptions were three kings and states, namely Hyderabad, Junagadh, and Kashmir. These three kings did not join India or Pakistan but expressed their desire to remain independent. Later, I will discuss Hyderabad and Junagadh in a later video. Today, let's come back to Kashmir. At that time, the king of Kashmir was Hari Singh. Lord Mountbatten was personally acquainted with King Hari Singh. So, in June 1947, before India and Pakistan became independent, he personally reached the king and suggested that Kashmir should join either India or Pakistan. King Hari Singh rejected Lord Mountbatten's proposal because the king was a Hindu by nationality, but the majority of the inhabitants of Kashmir were Muslims. So the king thought that if he joined the Pakistan side, his Hindutva would not be maintained, and if he joined the Indian side, the majority of Muslims in Kashmir would not look at it well. The common people of Kashmir expressed their desire to remain independent and would create chaos. So the king of Kashmir, Hari Singh, expressed his desire to remain independent. That is, India, Pakistan, and Kashmir became three separate states till August 15, 1947. Kashmir has not yet joined India or Pakistan. India and Pakistan are unable to take any other step in this regard except to convince the king to include Kashmir in their own state. In such a situation, India tried to incorporate Kashmir in the right and fair way, but Pakistan resorted to deceit and violence. In September 1947, Pakistan stopped the train from Sialkot to Jammu, resulting in a shortage of food, other daily necessities, and oil in Kashmir. At this time, the people of a certain region of Kashmir, Punj, were already angry with Raja Hari Singh because Raja Hari Singh imposed various taxes on the poor Muslim people of this region, such as tax for entering the forest, tax on raising sheep, etc. Taking advantage of this mental state of the Pashtun community living in Punj, in September 1947, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Liaquat Ali Khan, with the help of the Muslim League, started increasing public anger against the Raja in the western regions of Kashmir and started secretly attacking the Pathans, Kabili, and Pashtun tribals by misleading them, including their own soldiers in their ranks. By introducing their own soldiers among the local people, they started occupying the regions of Kashmir, and by showing them as a rebellion of the people, they kept themselves free from the blame of foreign occupation. As a result, the situation in Kashmir became increasingly complicated.
