I can only share from my own experience, from what actually happened here. I followed two simple approaches. One was self-inquiry. The other was holding on to the feeling “I am,” or simply staying with that raw sense of being. But what needs to be understood very clearly is this. We do not attain the Self one fine day. We do not suddenly become divine as if something new has been added. The truth is exactly the opposite. Nothing is gained. Everything is removed. All the things that we are holding on to, knowingly or unknowingly, start falling away in this process. That removal itself is what people call enlightenment. You see, when we talk about self-inquiry, many people think it is about finding an answer. They think it is about asking “Who am I?” and then waiting for some grand reply, some voice, some vision, some experience. But that is not what is happening at all. Self-inquiry is not about searching. It is not about finding. When I say “find it” or “search for it,” I am not really telling you to go and discover something new. Words have to be used. That is the limitation. Words are only pointers. They are signboards. They are not the destination. So when you ask, you are not trying to get an answer. You are slowly dissolving the question itself. . . . . . . . . . . . #SelfInquiry #PathOfReality #WhoAmI #InnerInvestigation #TruthSeeking #NonDuality #RamanaMaharshi #NisargadattaMaharaj #InnerSilence #MindfulnessEurope #AwakeningJourney #InnerFreedom #BeyondTheMind #SeekTheTruth #MeditativeInquiry
