Colleges and universities across Mississippi have received on-campus bomb threats Thursday. Mississippi State sent out an alert regarding a bomb threat reported on campus near Barnes & Noble and Cullis Wade Depot at 12:32 p.m. In a post on Twitter at 1:19 p.m., Mississippi State announced that police have concluded the search and the school has be re-opened to normal activities.A university spokesperson told the Clarion Ledger other universities, such as Itawamba Community College and William Carey University, have received similar threats which were false."But we are evacuating and searching specific buildings mentioned out of an abundance of caution," the spokesperson added. "Canines are being use with MSUPD." Mississippi State completed its search and returned to normal operations at 1:19 p.m. More than 10 Alabama universities, including Auburn, received similar threats yesterday.
