KATU has declared a Storm Tracker 2 Weather Alert for the possibility of high winds in the Willamette Valley and Portland metro area on Wednesday morning. While the Portland metro area will not have a white Christmas, the forecast this week looks to be somewhat challenging, and utility companies are prepping for a potentially stormy Christmas Eve. With wind gusts potentially reaching between 45 and 65 mph, Portland General Electric is urging people to prepare of potential power outages.
