In this video Marcus looks at calculating the total earth fault loop impedance of a circuit and explains the elements of the formula Zs = Ze + (R1 + R2). The video looks at how we can add a temperature factor to the calculated values of R1 + R2 which is the the resistance of the line conductor added to the resistance of the CPC. By using the temperature factors found in the On-Site Guide this means the designer of the circuit can use the 100% values of the maximum earth fault loop impedance found in BS7671 and not the rule of thumb 80% of this value. 🔔 Subscribe for more free electrical training videos https://youtube.com/c/GSHElectrical?s... == 🕐 Time Stamps - Cut to the action 🕕 == 00:00 - Calculating total earth fault loop impedance 00:54 - Applying temperature factors 01:30 - The calculation 02:11 - Zs = Ze + (R1 + R2) 03:36 - R1 + R2 and temperature factors 04:19 - Use the latest On-Site Guide 04:57 - Size the line and CPC conductors 05:48 - Temperature factors in the On-Site Guide 06:54 - Table I3 07:32 - R1 + R2 calculation including the temperature factor 08:59 - TN-S Ze of 0.76 ohms 09:24 - Total earth fault loop impedance (Zs) 09:59 - Maximum Zs values in BS7671 🔵 How to Calculate Total Earth Fault Loop Impedance Part 2 - Applying a Temperature Factor to R1 + R2 • How to Calculate Total Earth Fault Loop Im... 🔵 Earth Fault Loop Impedance (Zs) - Testing 16 Amp Industrial Socket Outlets Both Single and 3 Phase • Earth Fault Loop Impedance (Zs) - Testing ... 🔵 Earth Fault Loop Path for a TN-S Earthing Arrangement & Formula For Total Earth Fault Loop Impedance • Earth Fault Loop Impedance Path Explained ... 🔵 Total Earth Fault Loop Impedance Zs = Ze + R1 + R2 for TN-S and TN-C-S Earthing Arrangements • Total Earth Fault Loop Impedance Zs = Ze +...
