(name pending)LOCKE RULES (Famelocke? Dupelocke? Locklocke? Tismlocke?) 1. Standard Nuzlocke rules apply When a Pokemon faints, it's dead and can't be used anymore Only catch the first Pokemon on every route Dupes clause Set mode Level caps go to the cap of the next boss fight 2. The goal is to go through the mainline Pokemon games (plus Colosseum and XD) consecutively in the following order: Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, LeafGreen, Colosseum, XD, Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, SoulSilver, Black, White, Black 2, White 2 If the team wipes, you must start back from the beginning of the version you are currently playing 3. When the game is beaten, every Pokemon that enters the hall of fame (or is on the final winning team before the credits roll in the case of Colosseum, XD, Black, and White, or who beats Red in the case of the Johto games) is banned from future runs and cannot be used again. 4. A full team of 6 fully evolved Pokemon must be entered into the final fight of the given run. If a Pokemon dies, but is on the team during the final fight, it is also banned. 5. Pokemon must be fully evolved to the maximum point the game in question will allow without the assistance of transferring or post-game exclusive items. For example, even though Scizor exists in FireRed and LeafGreen, it is post-game exclusive and so only Scyther is allowed to be used in these games. For Pokemon with split evolution lines (for example, Glalie and Froslass,) each of the fully evolved forms is considered valid to use, even if the other form has already been used. 6. If a Pokemon is fully evolved in one generation, but gains an evolution in a future generation, both of those Pokemon are valid to use, but only in the games where that evolution stage is as fully evolved as the game will allow. For example, Golbat can be used in Gen 1 as well as FireRed and LeafGreen, as it cannot evolve into Crobat in these games. Crobat can be used in all other games it's available in, even if Golbat has been used in an earlier game, however it must be used as a Crobat. Golbat is not viable in generations where Crobat is an option. Additional minor rules: Shiny clause is in effect, but if the shiny is a banned Pokemon, it cannot be used on the team. Safari Zone rules: Each first encounter in each area in a Safari Zone essentially counts as one "try." You get one try for each area in the Safari Zone until you catch something. Once something is caught, that is your Safari Zone catch. This is to increase the likelihood that something can be caught in the Safari Zone and not get you screwed over by RNG without giving you too many catches for each area. Dupes clause covers all banned Pokemon as well as Pokemon that have already been caught in that specific run. Pokemon with different forms (ie. Spinda, Unown, Wormadam, Sawsbuck) do not count as unique. If any of the forms are used in one run, the Pokemon is banned in future runs. Some Pokemon will be banned before the game even begins, mostly legendaries such as the Legendary Birds in Kanto. The Legendary Beasts are fair game as long as they're the first thing you run into on the route, and as long as you can actually manage to catch them on your first try. Suicune in Crystal is the exception. The Legendary Beasts are also allowed to be used in Colosseum, but you can only have one of them in your party at a time. Static encounters are allowed as long as they are the first thing you encounter in that area. This also applies to towns, for example you can choose a Game Corner Pokemon, an Eevee, or Surf for a wild Pokemon in Celadon. No repels to guarantee a static encounter, but repels can be used to reach an area with a different encounter table. Some areas with wildly different encounter tables will be counted as their own areas. For example, Pinwheel Forest will have an outer/inner encounter.
