My Plastic Surgery Journey Part 1!|My Why & Where To Start Your Research!|Five Little Fins

Hello, my loves!💗 On July 20, 2022, I underwent a “Mommy Makeover” (which included a tummy tuck, liposuction to the flanks, and breast augmentation) with Dr. George Volpe in Boston, MA. As promised, this will be the first video of my plastic surgery series, documenting this journey. I hope these videos prove helpful for you! Before diving into anything, here is my VERY IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: I cannot STRESS enough, the importance of DOING YOUR RESEARCH when it comes to all matters involving plastic surgery. Prior to my own surgery, I researched for well over two years. You want to be sure you are mentally, physically, financially, and emotionally prepared for this journey, as it is INTENSE. Plastic surgery is NOT something that should be rushed or taken lightly. You are entrusting another human being to perform major, life altering surgery on you. This is a tremendous responsibility and it is your own personal duty to be as educated as possible before making this decision. Take your time when choosing your surgeon—make sure they are board certified! Look at reviews/before and after photos/pricing/location/etc. and make a list of surgeons that interest you. Have consults with all (or at least a handful) of them. Learn about the procedures you would like to have done. How are they performed? How can you best prepare yourself for surgery in order to ensure the best possible outcome? Where will surgery be performed—in a hospital, surgery center, outpatient clinic? Will you be staying overnight? How much help will you need post-op? What will your post-op journey look like—healing timeline/time off from work/childcare? What items do you need pre/post-op to make your journey as smooth as possible? What should your pre/post-op nutrition look like? What supplements should you be taking? Do you need to stop any medications? Will you need pre-op clearance? These are just a few of the questions/topics you should be researching! Make a list of your questions and bring it with you to each consult you have. This surgery has changed my life and I could not be more grateful.
