Happy Women’s Day 2026!

“Give to gain”. This Women’s Day, I found myself reflecting on the incredible women who have shaped my journey. From the women in my family like my mum, aunt, and grandmother to the teachers, principals, mentors, and university coordinators who believed in me and gave me opportunities, each of them poured something invaluable into my life. Through their encouragement, guidance, and example of service to others, I was able to grow, find my voice, and eventually give back in my own way to my students, and my school and university communities. One of the most powerful lessons I’ve learned along the way is this: empowering others empowers yourself. Women uplifting women, changing lives and those lives going on to change others. That is the ripple effect. Of course, in this video I could not name every single woman who has impacted my life. There have been so many, and this video would be never-ending if I mentioned them all! I am deeply grateful to every woman who has supported, guided, and inspired me along the way.
