Entertainment City, also known as E-City (formerly PAGCOR City and Manila Bay Tourism City), is a gaming and entertainment complex under development by PAGCOR spanning an area of 8 km2 (3.1 sq mi) in Bay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. It was first envisioned by PAGCOR in 2002. Alongside the Aseana City business development, it lies at the western side of Roxas Boulevard and south of SM Central Business Park (SM Mall of Asia), part of Parañaque. This sprawling complex is home to luxurious casinos and resorts such as Solaire, City of Dreams, Okada Manila, and Resorts World. Entertainment City Manila on initially 90 hectares of reclaimed land on Manila Bay will, according to PAGCOR, be the biggest development project in the country and become the biggest employer, with 250,000 jobs created. PAGCOR wants the huge entertainment city to rival the gambling resorts of Singapore and Macau. What had been just a vision 15 or so years ago is now slowly becoming a reality; initially with additional roads being built to allow more accessibility to the area, plus the addition of the newly opened NAIA Expressway that links the Metro Manila Skyway with the three terminals of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and the Entertainment City itself, in this area are newly built hotels, business offices, schools, condominiums, bars and restaurants, an indoor arena, a convention center, a church, an amusement park, and a shopping mall. More are in the pipeline and will be completely developed over the next few years. Ongoing projects include Westside City, a full-fledged township district and another hotel located within Entertainment City.
