What are the reasons that so many Christian believers view "talk of God, talk of science" to be disruptive, dangerous, and basically anti-Christian? It is not that they find science boring. Rather, they perceive a real threat here. This session will address the assumptions behind the fear in order to assess which fears are unnecessary and which ones may be justified. Discussions of "religion and science" need to be oriented more around these pastoral concerns than they have traditionally done. And we need to be more honest about what's really at stake.
