Honda’s latest FL5 incarnation of the Civic Type R is a very well-engineered vehicle from factory, with incredible performance on both street and circuit. Jim has developed the perfect combination of performance parts and ECU tuning, giving the FL5 upwards of 60+kW over and above factory output. When coupled with its perfectly engineered light weight chassis it becomes a formidable weapon indeed! . We’re no strangers to the Civic platform having extensively developed what we believe to be the best tuned combinations available. Not too long ago our own FK8 Civic Type R was able to claim the fastest of its spec around Wakefield Park at Aus Time Attack Challenge with minimal parts changes, E85 and custom tuning pushing 285kw to the wheels on an otherwise standard engine.
