On 17 February 2026, the Coalition of Action 4 Soil Health (CA4SH) launched the call for applications for the 2026 #Youth4Soil Mentorship Programme in an online info session. The initiative was launched in 2024 and received more than 200 applications, most of which were from mentees, and was initially structured as an open-ended and openly structured programme. In the spirit of continual learning, the CA4SH Secretariat has reviewed the strategy and is now re-launching the programme with additional structure, and under a shortened timeframe to increase engagement. The initiative will now be operated on an annual basis, culminating in a learning webinar and awarding of certificates of completion for successful participants. We also want to develop a cohort of alumni who we can engage in additional collaboration opportunities in the long-term.
