Food Is Medicine - Life on a Family Farm

Dave & Brenda Salch were living the suburban lifestyle in southern California when they realized they were neither happy nor particularly healthy. Partially as a result of learning deeply about the food industry, they decided to make a clean start, moving to Oregon's lovely Rogue Valley, where they began to grow their own food. One of their children was suffering from Autism Spectrum Disorder, with an inability to focus, constant withdrawal, etc. As they gradually changed their diet, his symptoms subsided, and in fact all of their children seemed much happier. Witnessing firsthand the medicinal power of food, they decided to step up production, eventually becoming a farm. They now produce pork and poultry, eggs and goat milk, plus vegetables and fruit. As their health and spirits improved dramatically, so too has their now-loyal customer-base.
