The End of Moore’s Law [...] and the Future of Computing, Professor John L. Hennessy.

FULL TITLE: "The End of Moore’s Law, General Purpose Processors (As We have Known Them), and the Future of Computing" Introduced by Dean Jennifer Widom. John L. Hennessy is President Emeritus of Stanford, Shriram Family Director of Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program, and Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. In 2017, Professor Hennessy received the Turing Award “for pioneering a systematic, quantitative approach to the design and evaluation of computer architectures with enduring impact on the microprocessor industry.” Also in 2017, he initiated the Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program. It is the world’s largest fully endowed graduate-level scholarship program. Professor Hennessy's research spans new initiatives in multidisciplinary research and teaching.
