Isaac Newton, the legendary English polymath, who was famous for formulating the laws of motion and universal gravitation that formed the dominant scientific viewpoint for hundreds of years. He published this work in his seminal book Principia (Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy) in 1687. Sir Isaac Newton is considered to be one of the greatest and most influential scientists in history. He was a mathematician, physicist, astronomer, alchemist, theologian, and author.
