Amazon sent me some UV sanitizers to review. One appears to be completely fake. Another says it uses UV A and UV C, but I could only detect UV A with my meters. But there was one that may actually work, the UV C toothbrush sanitizer that actually uses UV C. UV C is the type of UV typically used for sanitizing. It's not found in sunlight at ground level, so you need special light sources to make it. Only the toothbrush sanitizer seems to have one. This isn't so much a review of any of these devices but more of an overview of the challenges in buying UV sanitizers on Amazon. It is a crap shoot, and very hard to tell which devices are legit and which aren't. And even if you get a real one, there is still the question of how well it works at sanitizing. I used two UV meters, a UV A and a UV C meter, and a UV detector card that fluoresces in different kinds of UV light. https://www.amazon.com/QUANTADOSE%C2%... Be careful not to expose yourself directly to UV light if you get one of these cards.
