We enter a recently closed modern mine, and enter progressively older and older workings that the modern mine broke into, there's some massive stopes and artifacts and some natural passage too. This mine will be permanently sealed in a couple of weeks, so we might be the last to use this entrance! This was my first major trip underground since rupturing my Achilles almost 4 months back, so with over 10km of walking, many ladders and uneven terrain it was a nervous venture for me. Still it was a good trip and I largely avoided injuring myself :)
