This video demonstrates how to plot your ultrasonic transducer sound beam profile using the IOW Beam Calibration Block. This technique plots the vertical beam profile of your transducer using 8 different depth side drilled holes using the 20dB signal drop. Plots were made using the same transducer with 45, 60 and 70 degree screw on wedges. Equipment: Olympus EPOCH 1000i UT tester, GE 2.25MHZ, 0.5" diameter transducer, 45, 60 and 70 degree screw on wedges and the IOW beam calibration block.
