There are a couple of statements I made that I'd like to qualify or further explain. The first is that though many people have had a much higher standard of life and have things work out for them in a way that takes care of all their physical needs, to the point of detriment to their health in some cases, that is certainly not true for everyone. As I said elsewhere in the video, our society is set up to benefit only part of the worlds population, and even in the United States and other developed parts of the world, predictable sets of people get excluded. The second is in regards to what I say about environmental trauma. Looking at a clearcut is much different than having a forest being destroyed around you, so what I say about trauma should be understood with my (and others I take it) position in mind as onlookers. To those whose life off the land is destroyed in an intentional way, that trauma and that silencing is magnified a hundred fold, as it is for any population which is faced with similar dominating behavior designed to silence, coerce, and normalize exploitative behavior.
