Weapon Trial – Shield and Short Sword vs Small Battle Axe

This is a recording of a weapon trial done at a Sword Arts meeting in October 2012. This trial was for fun and to try out a shield and short sword against a small double headed battle axe. A trial at Sword Arts is a one minute continuous fight. If a fighter is dealt or deals out a solid hit they generally take a step back and continue the fight renewed. We do these to test fight weapons and styles against each other and to determine more suitable personal weapons for our members. Weapon Trials are for trying out new weapons or matching up against another style of swordsmanship and they usually go for about 1- 2 minutes. General Trials are for helping members find a weapon or style affinity and they go for 1 minute.
