Video tutorial on how to create an i-cord edging for the 2-color brioche stitch. If you are new to brioche, please check out my 1-color and 2-color brioche stitch tutorials (links at bottom). An I-cord edging creates a beautifully rounded, smooth edge on either side and gives the edge a pretty look. Pattern is described below and additional helpful links, including doing the same in 1-color brioche stitch, are at the bottom. Note: There is a typo in the video text shown for Rows 3 and 4. Please follow the correct pattern as described below and as actually demonstrated in video. My apologies for any confusion ! I-Cord Edge Pattern in 2-Color Brioche (Level: intermediate) [Abbreviations: BRK=brioche knit; BRP=brioche purl; K=knit; Sl=slip the stitch purl wise; Sl1WYF=slip 1 stitch with the yarn in front; st=stitch; YB=yarn back (meaning take yarn to the back); YF=yarn forward (meaning bring yarn to the from); YO=yarn over (meaning bring yarn around the stitch)] Designate the 2 colors as main color (or Color A) and contrasting color (or Color B). In the video, the orange color yarn is main color (Color A) and brown yarn is contrasting color (Color B). Cast on (with Color A) an even number of sts + 6 sts (3 sts for each edge).
