The Sons of Divine Providence Don Orione Theologicum-Nairobi. KENYA: FIRST PROFESSIONS IN NAIROBI In the chapel of the Nairobi Formation House, Kenya, three novices have issued the first profession. The afternoon Eucharist was presided by Don Marcelo Boschi Superior Delegate, and concelebrated by P. Anthony Njenga, Regional Superior, from P. Fausto Franceschi, Master of Novices, and other Orionine priests and other Congregations. Don Marcelo started by questioning candidates about their willingness to take votes. In his touching homily, he recalled the quote from Benedict XVI that urges us to remain with the Holy Spirit, which makes us aware of how nothing is more beautiful than knowing Jesus and being in touch with Him. In reference to the first reading Don Marcelo stressed that the new professions were chosen by God who loved them and took the initiative, just like he did with Abraham, who asked to leave his land to make a great nation .. Abraham was a docile man, someone who left his security to welcome this invitation and ended up becoming a ring of blessing between God and his people. Speaking to the brothers, he said that consecration to God, at this age, is not giving yourself a meaningless life, but an exodus that helps to move from one's self to Christ. This exodus will end with the proclamation ′′ It's not me living, but Christ lives in me ". The Superior Delegate then spoke about the vows that the three young people had issued: obedience helps listen to God's will, poverty helps a religious person overcome selfishness and trust always in God's Providence, and chastity wideness freedom of abandonment to God. At the end of the celebration, the Regional Superior expressed its joy at the Region welcoming three more children into the family. He told the religious people that the ' ye s' that pronounces in perpetual vows starts and grows from the first profession, and welcomed them into the big family of the Divine Providence. In his final remarks, Don Marcelo thanked the parents and relatives who came out as many as those who nurtured these vocations. He expressed his gratitude to the brothers and noticed that theirs was a special celebration as it was officiated in the year of the 25th anniversary of the presence of the Sons of Don Orion in Kenya.
