This is my First A321 model in a 1:200 scale and my 4th Philippine Airlines model.You're Reviewing a Philippine Airlines A321 with the Sharklets in a 1:200 scale from Gemini Jets. Philippine Airlines is the First Airline to operate out of Asia and as of 2016,Philippine Airlines is still maintaining as the oldest Asian Airline still operating today under the same when the Airline commenced operations 75 years ago on February 26,1941. The Livery : This is Philippine Airlines current livery which is called the "Eurowhite Livery" and this livery was first applied on the Short 360 Transport Aircraft in 1986 following Philippine Airlines Corporate Rebranding.This has been the Airline's Signature Trademark Livery look ever since 1986.The "Eurowhite Livery"and the Philippine Airlines logo was designed by the Consultancy Firm Landor Associates,Whose Global Headquarters is located in San Francisco, California. The Sharklets :Back in 2009,Airbus came up with another creative name for these blended winglets which the company decided to call them the "Sharklets" which is designed to enhance Payload Range Performance resulting in reducing fuel consumption at the same time. Air New Zealand became the First Airline to have the Sharklets installed on their Airbus A320 Aircraft back in 2012. The Philippine Airlines logo(Displayed on the Sharklets as well as the Tail): This Logo resembles the Country's National Flag of the Philippines which is formed as Two Triangles of Blue(Left)and Red(Right)with the Sun Superimposed on the Blue Triangle. Registration # RP-C9907: This was the 6th Airbus A321 Aircraft to enter Philippine Airlines fleet and the First Test Flight on this Aircraft took place on October 21,2013 and was Delivered to Philippine Airlines on November 15,2013. The Seating Configuration: The Philippine Airlines Airbus A321 with the Sharklets Seats 199 Passengers in a 3 Class Configurated Cabin Layout: Rows 1-3 - 12 First Class Seats Rows 21-23 - 18 Premium Economy Class Seats Rows 31-73 - 169 Economy Class Seats This model is Very Impressive, Very Detailed, Very Informative and Highly Recommended and definitely a must have for your collection especially if you're a diehard collector of this Airline or this Aircraft for that matter.
