Over the years, it has undergone multiple restorations. The first major restoration occurred after a significant earthquake in the 20th year of Jiaqing (1815), followed by another reconstruction after a severe storm in the 6th year of Tongzhi (1867). In the 8th year of the Republic of China, the temple's wooden beams were damaged by termites. At that time, the abbot, Master Fuzhi, donated his lifetime savings of over 7,000 yuan and raised additional funds to restore the temple, establishing the foundation for Longshan Temple as it stands today. In the 34th year of the Republic of China, during World War II, the temple was heavily damaged by an air raid, with the central hall completely destroyed. However, the statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva remained seated on the lotus pedestal, appearing majestic and serene. During previous air raids, residents would seek refuge under the lotus seat of Guanyin Bodhisattva. On the eve of this particular air raid, the residents, unable to endure the relentless mosquitoes, returned to their homes. Consequently, when the central hall was destroyed, no one was harmed. The residents believed this was due to the protection of Guanyin Bodhisattva and spread word of this miracle. This event further solidified Guanyin Bodhisattva as a vital spiritual pillar for the people of Monga.
