Climbing Mt. Rainier via the Kautz Glacier - Intense Fog leads to a Picture Perfect Summit Day

This was my second attempt at the Kautz Glacier Route, and my first Mt. Rainier summit! We started in the clouds, but we were rewarded with a picture perfect summit day! Day 1 took us from Paradise up to our first camp at the Upper Castle. Day 2 brought us up the Turtle Snowfield to Camp Hazard, and Day 3 took us to the top! The rappels were endless! Need to bring a 2nd rope next time! It seems like dead weight most of the time, but I promise it would be worth it. I lost my camera on the final rappels, but a fellow climber from Boulder found it! His party was going up the next morning, and heard that I had dropped a GoPro. Since we discovered that we were all from Colorado, he was able to track me down via my local Facebook Community Page and return the camera to me! I am forever grateful! Original Music by Me.
