Can you beliieve that we are up to the third webinar in our four part series and this week we are exploring the work that Botanic Gardens do in Conservation Beyond The Garden Gate. In this webinar, we’ll hear about two very different ways in which botanic gardens are engaging with communities’ to help conserve our plants and landscapes. Both approaches rely on pollen. The first involves the creation of a wildlife corridor through Melbourne for the movement of native pollinating insects. The second uses wind-dispersed pollen to understand present and past environments. Our first speaker is Emma Cutting the Founder and CEO of The Heart Gardening Project (THGP. Our second speaker is Alex Wall a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Australian National University in Canberra working in the fields of palaeoecology and palynology, I cant wait for you to meet these two passionate apeakers ans hear about the work they both do in the world of plants that we are loving this month. See you thurs eve t 7pm AEDT.
