February in Rochester can feel like the dead of winter… so this year I decided to romanticize my life and beat the February funk. Instead of staying inside, I made it a goal to get out into the city, try local spots, spend time with friends, and appreciate all the little things that make Rochester such a vibrant place to live. From cozy coffee shops and Galentine’s markets to birthday dinners and snowy city walks, this vlog is a reminder that there’s always something fun happening here if you go looking for it. Some highlights from the month: • Galentine’s Day market at Mercantile on Main with my friend Logan (local shops, puppies, and the best vibes) • Multiple matcha runs to Winter Swan Coffee and their packed Lunar New Year celebration • Cozy meals at Pearson’s and Park Lee • Birthday dinner at Vern’s (always amazing) • Brunch at Locals Only with Josie • Homemade sushi night for Valentine’s Day in Buffalo • Trying the incredible BBQ at Southern Junction • Baking a flourless chocolate cake and whimsical cookies at home • A Fat Tuesday Bloody Mary bar at the NORCHAR office Rochester has such an incredible community, local food scene, and creative energy — even in February. Sometimes you just have to lean into the season and romanticize the everyday moments.
