First airing as an ABC Afterschool Special on February 7, 1973, "The Incredible, Indelible, etc., etc. Trip" would introduce the world to Timer, the bulbous yellow chap who you may best remember for his hankering for a hunk of cheese. This special would go on to air well into the 1980s, as would its sequel, "The Magical Mystery Trip Through Little Red's Head." Timer would go on to appear more regularly in a series of shorts that were a staple of 1970s-80s ABC Saturday Morning television commercial breaks. In addition to Timer, voiced by Len Maxwell for the only time, the series starred lovable Mayberry alcoholic Hal Smith as Uncle Carl, Kim Richards as young Missey and Michael Link as Joey. Peter Broderick and Kathy Buch provided the voices for animated Joey and Missey, respectively. The film was produced by DePatie-Freleng Enterprises and directed by Jim Gates and Herbert Klynn. To see all of Timer's television appearances (except for his 'Family Guy' cameo) or more vintage randomness, keep your dial tuned to @Channel80something!
