She shall have a helping spirit and hand in every aspect to her husband, as God made the woman to be for the man. Hi, I am Li. First, let me read 3 verses from the past two days’ devotion before I further share my learning notes; quoting from Proverbs Ch. 31, Verse 12, 23 & 31: “12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.” “23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.” “31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.” Here is what I am learning to apply from these verses: -To have a Godly peaceable home, as a wife, I shall learn to die unto my selfish desires, which would not benefit my husband. Learn how to love my husband as myself. Withhold the discontent towards my husband in certain areas, as I am working on my own weaknesses the same time; and encourage the “head” to be firmly grounded in the word of God. -A virtuous wife takes good care of the whole family, helping the husband devote himself to the career growth while he is in an honorable position to serve more in the community. -The Work of her hand to the family and community shall help her to enjoy life in a fulfilling sense. And this is a respectable wife from Proverbs 31, serving as an example for us woman to follow and grow into maturity… -Thank you Lord Jesus Christ!
