House Builder 2 | The Epic Construction Simulator Returns

Hello Im Skill Incarnate and Welcome to My Games Review Series. My reviews cover indie games that i have bought, had gifted to me and have been provided by developers for review. In this episode I return to one of the greatest construction simulator series ive played on steam called House Builder, with the latest entry in the series House Builder 2. This game was developed by FreeMind S.A, and is published by Playway SA, one of the best publishers for Simulation Games. I've reviewed several of their other games including WW2 Rebuilder, Farmers Life and Mr Prepper House Builder 2 follows on from the massively popular House Builder, placing the player in the role of an ambitious small business owner, trying to start up their own contruction business. Youll start with small jobs, like mowing lawns, repairing fences and basic home repairs, working your way up to constructing homes, pools and barns. Eventually youll be able to take on large scale contracts like constructing buildings and businesses. As you successfully complete contracts youll earn money that you can use to purchase additional tools, as well as building materials that you can use for your own personal projects. While I did enjoy my time exploring House Builder 2, i feel like it doesnt yet match the original in some areas. Some of the game mechanics have been streamlined to simplify some of the processes from the previous game, but this also impacted the games challenge. There are some bugs and issues with the game in its current state. The developers are actively working on the game, and have already released several patches to address some of the bugs, so I hope that we will see improvements as the game evolves, as i am a massive fan of the first House Builder, as well as Playways other work.
