FIRST CATS CAFE IN MADRID CITY CENTER I La Gatoteca

I went to La Gatoteca - cats' cafe and animals' shelter, 2-in-1 in Madrid, Spain. The project opened its doors in October 2013 and seeks to help homeless cats, hoping that the interaction between their visitors and the cats fosters responsible adoptions, what will allow the association to help more cats. La Gatoteca was closed during Covid, but reopened its doors in 2021. This place is not like a cafeteria itself, but it has tea/coffee machine where you can get a quick drink. All the cats are sterilized, negative to leukemia and immunodeficiency, vaccinated and dewormed internally and externally. People can stay there as long as they want to and the rate varies according to the time people spent there: when you visit La Gatoteca you won’t pay for drinks (ecological teas, coffees, juices, smoothies, soft drinks, etc.) but for the time you stay - watch the video to find out more about how much it costs. There is a moment in the video where I stop giving info about the cafe and allow all of us to just breathe, meditate and enjoy cute kitties.
