This is a theme-park style factory where you can see the production process of Nambu cast ironware. There are facilities such as an exhibition gallery, a restaurant, and a souvenir shop. At the entrance there is a display of Morioka's festival float, with which you can take pictures. There is also a 350-kg teakettle, largest of its kind in the world. There are over 1,800 cast ironware products. Ironware is great for cooking because it conducts heat well; moreover, it is good for your health because the iron from the pot or pan is released into the food. In addition to the traditional items, there are many new products with modern designs and vivid colors. Nambu cast ironware is gaining popularity abroad, in countries such as France, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland.
