Instead of following US 101 all along the coast, this drive takes a "shortcut" via Miami Foley Road that goes further inland through a more rural portion of Tillamook County. This allows us to avoid some of the traffic and congestion that occurs on US 101 in beach towns on the Oregon coast during the peak summer months.
