Gary Roberts - Shop Tour and Conversation - WoodTurner and Carver - a founding member of AAW & SWAT.

I had the privilege of getting a tour of Gary Roberts work shop and personal collection of pieces along with a very nice conversation. You can tell he had a carving background before becoming a woodworker because his work integrates both and has been a reference point in our craft for decades. Gary was one of the original organizers of the American Association of Woodturners (AAW), Southwest Association of Turners (SWAT) and had a major influence in many of the woodturning clubs/organizations in this region of the country. He is also a prolific writer having produced works featured in numerous magazines and his own books (links below). Along the way we had a nice conversation about the craft, teaching, travel, tools, and the like. I hope you'll enjoy.
