On Wednesday October 21 at 5.30 PM, Consul General of France Jérémie Robert, teachers, school representatives, interfaith leaders, paid a virtual tribute to Samuel Paty, the French history teacher who was killed for defending the values of the French Republic with exceptional commitment, competence and humanity. Through him, it is France that has come under attack. This cowardly murder has caused outrage in France and internationally: many have mobilized to defend freedom of speech and to show support to those who teach its importance every day.
