The drive starts in Dublin city Centre, in Donnybrook. We head northbound along the Anglesea rd (R815) reaching Ballsbidgre through shelbourne rd. in about few minutes we reach the Docklands crusing along the Grand Canal rd. From here, we reach easily the heart of the city, driving along Tara st and crossing over the Butt bridge. From here you will definitely enjoy a lovely view of the city, with the newly built docklands area at your right and with the more classic city centre at your left! Once across the Liffey river, we reach the Connolly Station trhough Beresford Pl (R105). This is the major railway station of the city, with dozens of suburban and national lines. The driving tour continues along Amiens st, northbound direction, crossing the hearth of Dublin and reaching the Newcomen Bridge over the Royal Canal. We continue along North Strand rd, reaching Marino, coasting the Fairview park, located along the northern side of the bay. Finally, with a slight left turn we enter the Howth road that will lead directly in Howth crossing the northern suburban area in Clontarf, Raheny, Bayside and Suttun. Once we reach the Bayside, the Howth road opens to a very scenic view over the Dublin Bay and the North Bull Island strand. Sutton is a residential suburb on the Northside of Dublin, it occupies the tombolo which links Howth Head to the mainland, some of the lower slopes of Howth Hill, and a little of the adjacent coasts. Finally we reach the Howth village, also known as Ireland’s Eye, a bird sanctuary with an ancient ruined church. Relax and enjoy the old 15th century Castle with lovely rhododendron gardens and a very nice transport museum with local trams. You will also be able to explore the 19th century Martello Tower house and the medieval ruins of St. Mary’s Abbey.
