Unfortunately, modern SpongeBob writers think that a real story is optional in their episodes these days and this episode consists of little more than a few hijinks revolving around a laundromat. No deeper themes. No lesson. No story. Let's take a look at Laundro-Madness and compare it to other episodes that did have stories such as The Fry Cook Games, Something Smells, Sandy, SpongeBob and the Worm, The Sponge Who Could Fly and the Krusty Krab Training Video and ask ourselves how important it really is for a cartoon episode to contain a real and meaningful story.
