Resonance in AC circuits implies a special angular frequency for which the current in the circuit becomes maximum. It is determined by the values of the resistance, capacitance, and inductance. For series resonance the condition of resonance is straightforward and it is characterized by minimum impedance and zero phase. The angular frequency for which the resonance happens is known as the resonant frequency.
