This time we went to Shibu Onsen, a famous hot spring in Nagano Prefecture. Located in the Yudanaka Shibu Onsen area, Shibu Onsen is a popular hot spring that is also home to an old inn that is said to have been the model for the movie Spirited Away. There are nine outdoor baths here that are only available to guests staying overnight, so we went on a tour of the baths. We stayed at the Shiroganeya Inn. Near Shibu Onsen is Jigokudani Monkey Park, where you can see the snow monkeys that have recently become popular with foreign tourists, and it seems that Shibu Onsen has recently seen an increase in inbound guests.
